Not One Repeat Viewing

026. 01/30 – The Counselor* – This one was a waste of a whole lot of talent. While Cormac McCarthy’s dialog is fantastic in his novels he really needs to learn to write for films. The long monologues and conversations felt forced and had no flow. This would have gotten a much lower score from me but it had a stellar cast and good cinematography. (VOD) 5/10

027. 01/31 – A Single Shot* – Lots of potential but it only ended up being decent. Sam Rockwell is a great actor! (VOD) 6/10

028. 02/07 – Thor: The Dark World* – Excellent escapist entertainment, just as good as the first one. (VOD) 7/10

029. 02/08 – Dusty and Sweets McGee* – Interesting 1971 documentary about junkies in LA. (bootleg) 6/10

030. 02/08 – Aslan Adam (AKA Lionman)* – Crazy Turkish action/adventure film from 1975. Terrible acting, lifeless, flat dubbing and some of the strangest fight sequences I have ever seen. Needless to say I loved it. Lionman was one of the best bad movies I have ever seen. Easy to find if you know where to look but you definitely wont find this via any legitimate channels. No trailers either, anything uploaded to YouTube from this film is immediately blocked for rights issues. I’ll be checking out the sequel next weekend! (bootleg) 7/10
