I’m Ashamed to Admit It

178. 09/19 – World War Z* – I thought the first 30 minutes or so was really good but it went quickly downhill from there. I may have liked it better if it had a different title. Also, nobody should EVER make a PG-13 rated zombie movie. (Bluray) 6/10

179. 09/20 – Katy Perry: Part of Me* – I am ashamed to admit I watched this, however I am not ashamed to say I did not enjoy it. The things a man will sit through for his wife!  (HBOGo) 2/10

180. 09/21 – Jim Breuer: And Laughter for All* – This was quite funny, quality standup here. (Netflix) 7/10

###. 09/22 – Dredd – Just as good the second time. (Netflix) 7/10

Some Films Are Simply Wrong

120. 06/20 – Fish Story* (Netflix) – Can punk rock save the world? Watch this and find out! 7/10

121. 06/21 – V/H/S/2* – Much better than the first one. This features segments from Gareth Evans (The Raid) and Jason Eisener (Hobo With a Shotgun). Quite enjoyable!  (Vudu) 7/10

122. 06/22 – 21 and Over* – Pretty average comedy about young adults that drink too much. (Vudu) 5/10

123. 06/22 – The Incredible Burt Wonderstone* – Uninspired acting and jokes that simply are not funny. (Vudu) 3/10

124. 06/22 – Wrong* – From the creative force behind “Rubber” comes this WAY off beat comedy about a man who wakes up in the morning and finds his dog gone. Don’t try to make sense of anything and you’ll enjoy this mental film. (Vudu) 7/10

125. 06/23 – Zeta One* – Boring as heck, I gave it a second star simply because of the abundance of breasts.  (Netflix) 2/10

126. 06/23 – Warm Bodies* – Decent comedy, I still hate running zombies. (DVD) 6/10

127. 06/23 – Leave It To Beaver – Not so great big screen adaptation of the classic TV show. (Streampix) 5/10

092. 05/10 – John Dies at the End – Right up there with the book and just as good the second time. (Netflix) 8/10

093. 05/11 – Iron Man 3* – This was the weakest entry in the series but was still good. (Cinema) 7/10

095. 05/12 – The Story of Ricky – Chinese insanity about a young man with super strength fighting continuously stronger foes in a corrupt prison. Classic! (Netflix) 7/10

Two of My Favorites (and a few others)

066. 04/11 – Sunshine – Watched once normally, then once again with the Dr. Brian Cox commentary. Beautiful. (Bluray) 10/10

067. 04/12 – Bachelorette* – Some funny stuff but not enough. (Netflix) 5/10

068. 04/12 – Cheech & Chong’s Hey Watch This* – I probably would have been disappointed had I gone to this actual show. I think they are just too old to do their classic routines. (Netflix) 5/10

069. 04/12 – Walk Hard – The best music biopic ever and one of the best comedies ever. John C. Reilly is just fantastic in this. (Bluray) 10/10

070. 04/13 – Antiviral* – Brandon Cronenberg probes himself to be his fathers son in this good debut. (Comcast On Demand) 6/10

071. 04/13 – Drive – I liked this much better on a second viewing! (Netflix) 8/10

072. 04/14 – Megan is Missing – All parents should make their teenagers watch this. (Netflix) 6/10

The Worst Movie Ever?

047. 03/21 – Rise of the Guardians* – Good animation but too juvenile for my liking. (Vudu) 5/10

048. 03/22 – Hercules in the Haunted World* – Mario Bava is responsible for what could be the best Swords and Sandals movie in history. Even though the print streaming from Netflix is sub-DVD quality I can tell that this was a visually stunning fantasy film. Now to find a better print. (Netflix) 6/10

049. 03/22 – This is 40* – Sort of a sequel to “Knocked Up” but not really funny.  (DVD) 4/10

050. 03/22 – Bully* – Interesting documentary abut bullying in US schools. (Vudu) 6/10

051. 03/23 – Death Race 2000 – Classic (1975) Roger Corman drive-in actioner. I saw this at the drive-in at age 11!  (Netflix) 7/10

052. 03/24 – Big Money Rustlas* – I’m in a group where once a week one of the members picks a bad/obscure film and we watch it and comment/joke about it as we watch.  I can usually find something about a movie to enjoy regardless of how bad it might be. I had to watch this in three sittings it was so bad. I could find nothing to even laugh about in this one and can only recommend it to juggalos with IQs under 100.  (Netflix) 1/10
