I’m Ashamed to Admit It

178. 09/19 – World War Z* – I thought the first 30 minutes or so was really good but it went quickly downhill from there. I may have liked it better if it had a different title. Also, nobody should EVER make a PG-13 rated zombie movie. (Bluray) 6/10

179. 09/20 – Katy Perry: Part of Me* – I am ashamed to admit I watched this, however I am not ashamed to say I did not enjoy it. The things a man will sit through for his wife!  (HBOGo) 2/10

180. 09/21 – Jim Breuer: And Laughter for All* – This was quite funny, quality standup here. (Netflix) 7/10

165. 08/30 – Bad Milo* (On Demand) – Like “Basket Case” gone anal. Fun horror comedy. 6/10

166. 08/30 – Orgazmo (HBOGo) – If I wasn’t born a Mormon this probably would not be as funny as it is to me. Love it.  7/10

167. 08/31 – Branded* – Great concept (brands come to life?) but poor execution. (Netlfix) 5/10

168. 08/31 – This Girl is Badass* – Terrible Thai action comedy about a bicycle messenger who kicks a lot of butt. Painful to finish but some decent fight/action sequences. (Netflix) 4/10

Memorial Day Weekend Madness

106. 05/23 – Maniac (2012)* – The first person POV in this remake of the William Lustig grindhouse classic worked VERY well. Elijah Wood appeared to be channeling the spirit of Joe Spinell at times in his spot on portrayal of a seriously demented individual. I will definitely be purchasing this one when it comes out in June! (DVD-R) 8/10

107. 05/23 – Cloud Atlas* – Very long but interesting film about how people actions affect others as time goes on. (Vudu) 7/10

108. 05/24 – Louis C.K. – Oh My God* – One of the best comedy specials I have ever seen and (IMHO) Louis C.K.’s best work. (HBOGo) 9/10

109. 05/25 – Broken City* – Entertaining film that will probably not hold up well on repeated viewings. (Vudu) 6/10

###. 05/26 – Arrested Development Season 4 – If you liked the previous seasons you will like this. If you did not you will not. Near perfection for me! (Netflix) 9/10

110. 05/27 – Behind the Candelabra* – Based on the autobiography of Scott Thorson this film tells the story of the relationship between Liberace (Michael Douglas) and Thorson (Matt Damon.) Douglas is sure to get an Emmy for his amazing portrayal of Liberace. Homophobes should avoid this at all costs.  (HBOGo) 7/10

111. 05/27 – The OrangesHugh Laurie plays a man who becomes involved with the neighbors young daughter. (Vudu)  6/10

112. 05/28 – Starlet* – Interesting film about a young woman who becomes friends with an elderly woman for less than respectable reasons. Be warned that there is a hardcore sex scene in this one. (Vudu) 6/10

113. 05/28 – Pawn* – Decent heist film about a gang of criminals attempting to rob a restaurant that is a front for mob money.  (DVD) 6/10
